FAQ
How do Beeswax Wraps work?
You use the warmth of your hands to help mould the Beeswax Wrap over a piece of food, bowl, dish, etc. The Beeswax Wrap will hold its seal once it starts to cool down. The Beeswax Wrap allows your food to breath. It will keep your cheese, fruit, vegetables, bread, baked goods, herbs, fermented foods such as kombucha, kefir, rising doughs and anything else you want to use them for, nice and fresh! We don’t recommend you use them with pineapples or raw meat or fish.
What are Beeswax Wraps made of?
Our Beeswax Wrap are made of organic GOTS certified cotton, UK beeswax, pine resin and organic jojoba oil.
How do I take care of my Beeswax Wrap?
After use, wash your Beeswax Wrap with mild dishwashing soap and cold water, and then let it hang to dry. You can store your wrap in a drawer or on the counter. Every few months we recommend you refresh and re-set your Beeswax Wrap. We have created a video guide to show you this process. Please note this process is for electric ovens only, Beeswax Wraps should not be placed near naked flames, so are not suitable for refreshing in gas ovens.

How long will my Beeswax Wraps last for?
Your Beeswax Wraps can last up to a year and beyond with proper care. After use you will start noticing a few creases where it has been folded, this is just the natural stage of ageing. Your wrap will still work just as well, we recommend maintaining your Beeswax Wrap by refreshing it once a month if you use your wraps regularly. When your Beeswax Wraps life comes to an end you can pop it on the compost!

Don’t panic, if you have washed your beeswax wrap with hot water you can still save it. Follow our refreshing video and you will be able to reset any wax that has started to crumble off.
Does the smell of beeswax get into my food?
The Beeswax Wrap when first opened, may have a strong smell of honey but if you are sensitive to the smell it does wear off with use.
